I Don't Want To Flee (From Life)

I Don’t Want To Flee (From Life)
Robert D. Worsham

Verse Woke up Wednesday morning, its just another day
Turned off my alarm clock, I’d best be on my way
Got myself ready, and I headed out the door
I’ve done this the same way, a thousand times before
Driving down the road, I see the same old scenery
See it all these years, it never meant that much to me

Climb Thursday came; things have changed, before my very eyes
It’s not my plan. But God’s plan that take’s me by surprise.

Chorus I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to cash it in
Don’t want to leave the ones I love
There’s places that I’ve never been
I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to fade away
I don’t want to flee-e-e-e
from life

Verse Woke up Thursday morning, headed on my way
Things look very diff’rent, I watch the children play
Notice all the trees, the leaves, the clouds up in the sky
Sunshine peaking through the clouds, blue birds flying by
The colors of a rainbow, the red the green the blue.
All these years I closed my eyes to all the things I knew.

Climb Friday came, the smell of rain, was present in the air
All these years, things I missed, now I’m rescued from despair

Chorus I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to cash it in
Don’t want to leave the ones I love
There’s places that I’ve never been
I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to fade away
I don’t want to flee-e-e-e
from life

Bridge View each day with open eyes
Don’t dwell in the past
Life is short, so take the time
To live it, while it last

Chorus I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to cash it in
Don’t want to leave the ones I love
There’s places that I’ve never been
I don’t want to flee from life
I don’t want to fade away
I don’t want to flee-e-e-e
from life

My Life Depends On Depends

Written By: Robert D. Worsham

My life depends on Depends

When I was a little child
I wore diapers and ran wild
Your might think that I’m insane
I wear those diapers once again
But I’m still running wild.

Now the Boomer generation
full of fun and life’s frustration.
Remember how we’d twist and shout
now arthritis stones, and gout
and insurance complications.

My life depends on Depends
When the stream never ends
I must make these amends
that until the bitter end
my life depends on Depends

It went from fun and pity patter
now it’s just an old weak bladder
I’m not saying that I’m old
I’m just loosing my control
It’s just a step in life’s ladder

The stream of life’s without end
And I cannot apprehend
I thought my childhood had to end
But now I’m back there once again
my life depends on Depends

My life depends on Depends
When the stream never ends
I must make this amend
that until the bitter end
my life depends on Depend
