Robert Jon aka Rob Jon just dropped his debut 2010 CD "SOULMATE" in August. Rob and others says the CD is sexy baby making music wrapped in an exciting blend of R&B, hip hop, and Neo Soul with powerful vocals that will put the ladies in the mood for love, help the guys set the mood for romance and make everybody hit the dance floor. Grown and sexy, funky, jazzy, smooth, hyped, mood changer, and so good it must be respected, are a few of the ways to describe Robert Jon's album, "SOULMATE." It has a little something for everybody. Rob Jon, a song writer, musician, singer, producer and an entrepreneur comes from a family of musicians and singers and was destined to fall in love with music and the entertainment world at an early age.
Rob has worked with artists such as Paula Abdul, Color Me Bad, Sandra Bernhard, producers and song writers, Elliot Wolf and Stacy Piersa as well as working with various jazz, hip hop and R&B artists. He teamed up with friends and fellow producers Greg Ware, Jon Lundy and Randy Harding to complete this latest project. .
In addition to working on his album "SOULMATE" during 2009 and 2010, Rob found the time work as executive producer on two upcoming movies slated for release in 2011. You can also look forward to a musical stage production written by Lanny Mitchell and Rob Jon which has been picked up by Broadway in Black for an off Broadway run beginning in Los Angeles and eventually working its way to Broadway in 2011/2012 season.
Robert Jon has had a life-long dedication to music, the arts and the entertainment industry. He is even the executive producer of the up and coming film “Hollywont” which is produced by his production company Hoody Alan. He says he does what he does because he loves it and says it is part of his genetic make-up. It's in his blood and no matter what, rich or poor he will always play and listen to music and dabble in the entertainment world.
Robert Jon says music is the love of his life. "Making music, listening and watching others play music, living in a world filled with music and lyrics is as important to me as the air I breathe. I would suffocate without it."

Robert Jon is a song writer, musician, singer, producer and an entrepreneur. Although he carries an MBA in his back pocket, music and the entertainment industry are the love of his life.
He comes from a family of musicians and singers and was destined to fall in love with music and the entertainment world at an early age. Mastering the piano at the age of 13, he sang and played in the choir both at church and at school and eventually started singing lead vocals and playing keyboards in local bands.
He has worked with artists such as Paula Abdul, Color Me Bad, Sandra Bernhard, as well as producers and song writers, Elliot Wolf, Stacy Piersa, Jon Lundy and Greg Ware in addition to singing jingles for commercials and handling back ground vocals for countless other artists.
Rob acquired most of his musical skills while working at an early age on stage productions for local community theatre in Los Angeles and Pasadena and while working as a studio musician and studio singer on the L.A. set. He has toured the world entertaining countless audiences and has recently teamed up with life-long friends and producer/songwriters Greg Ware and Jon Lundy to release his 2010 CD.
Rob’s musical influence moves from gospel, to jazz, to hip hop, to R&B, funk, classical, rock, big band and even Broadway. Rob’s all-time favorite artists include a diverse group of entertainers and artists such as Maxwell, Usher, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Pink, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Snoop, E40, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, and other artists who are not as well known, like his family and friends. He creatively brings this diverse musical blend of influence to his latest 2010 CD release.
After finishing up his 2010 CD Rob plans to take the act on the road, continue writing and recording as well as working with his long time writing partner Lanny Mitchell to revive their stage production of “Strictly from the Westside” and generally just get out there and have some fun.
