In 2007, I bought myself a Boss Micro BR... which is essentially a digital 4 track recorder with some virtual tracks, and a bunch of swanky effects. I also bought a brand new travel sized acoustic guitar that buzzes all over the place and never stayed in tune.
Soon enough I had recorded covers of a bunch of my favourite Pink Floyd tracks, Rolling Stones numbers, Bob Seger tunes, and Stevie Ray Vaughan licks. From Russell Crowe, to Otis Redding, to Matchbox 20... I just played the tunes because that I figure are fun to play.
I'm slowly getting my off-centre blues/rock down onto some kind of digital media... So now you can suffer through it, just like all my friends and family who I've sat down and forced to listen to my music!
... most of the time the songs are just first takes that I couldn't be bothered to go back and edit. I guess I'd already moved on to a new idea in my head... So pardon the wrong notes, or funny chord flubs. I'm just trying to put the "crazy" in my head into some kind of ordered pattern of strings and frets.
