Bio
The Original Tams is one of America's all-time favorite recording acts. Known worldwide for its special blend of music that makes up the beach music sound, The Tams entertains crowds around the globe nearly 300 days each year! Probably best known for its 1968 gold hit "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," The Tams is celebrating recent success with a new single, "Ain't Nothing Like."
From its ghetto beginnings in Atlanta, the success of The Tams is truly a rags-to-riches story. The group began performing in taverns and nightclubs for next-to-nothing wages. In 1962, the group cut a single which gained much regional success, and the band then landed a major recording contract with ABC Records.
