Mississippi Rain

Written By: Robert Mazarelli

Watching the shrimp boats coming in to the harbor
Watching the Cajun sky turn blue
The seagulls are flying
From Gulfport to the Chandeluer Islands
Maybe some good luck is overdue.

Warm Gulf Coast waters...Mississippi rain
Reminds you why you stay to rebuild your claim
Watching the skyline tower over the hope that still remains
And praying that you might see
The saints come marching in again

Watching the sunset ...red and gold...on the Bayou
Watching the Cajun moon shine down
The Cypress trees swaying
And lovers move when the music starts playing
It heals the soul when you hear that sound

Warm Gulf Coast waters...Mississippi rain
Reminds you why you stay to rebuild your claim
Watching the skyline tower over the hope that still remains
And praying that you might see
The saints come marching in again

The seagulls are flying
From Gulfport to the Chandeluer Islands
Maybe some good luck is overdue.

Sometime After Midnight

Written By: Robert Mazarelli

It's sometime after midnight
I'm waiting for a ride
Hoping that this rain might end
I've should have stood inside.
But it doesn't matter if I'm wet or dry
My soul has been evicted tonight

It's hard to tell what's right these days
You say the wrong thing
Or it just comes out that way
And the more you talk it seems
The more there's hell to pay
But that's life...and you can't explain it.

Now it's sometime after midnight
I'm waiting for a ride
Hoping that this rain might end
I've should have stood inside.
But it doesn't matter if I'm wet or dry
My soul has been evicted tonight

Armed with your plans about
How everything should be
You soon find out if there's no trust
Then there's no guarantee
And we're just victims
Of the things that we can't see
But that's life...and you can't explain it.

Now it's sometime after midnight
I'm waiting for a ride
Hoping that this rain might end
I've should have stood inside.
But it doesn't matter if I'm wet or dry
My soul has been evicted tonight
My soul has been evicted tonight
