Miami, FL October 13, 2007 - Current senior Eric Roberts will give his final recital performance on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 8pm. The recital is to be held in the Univeristy of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall located at 1314 Miller Rd. Coral Gables, FL.
Eric will perform a repertoire of jazz standards and world music in compliance with the requirements set forth by the University of Miami. Completion of the recital will result in Eric being awarded a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in vocal performance.
Eric hails from Washington DC and has been studying music at the University of Miami for the past 4 years. An incredible singer/songwritwer, Roberts’ smooth bass voice transitions effortlessly from jazz to pop to down home soul. “Music is about feeding the soul,” states Roberts. “I want my music to be a reflection of hope.”

Bio
Robert Sidney was born in Washington, DC and raised in a small suburb known as Bowie, MD. From the cradle his mother knew that her son was meant for great things and that music would take a prominent role. Robert began singing at age 5 and wrote his first song at age 7. Over the next 12 years, Robert's thirst for music grew and his influences became wide ranging from the funk bands of the seventies to the grunge bands of the early nineties. At the age of 19, Robert entered the University of Miami to study jazz. It was there that he began to develop his own unique sound and writing style. Now in his last year of school, Robert is finally ready to reveal to the world who he is and what he has to say. Hopefully the world is ready!
