High-powered, garage-a-billy, foot-tappin', stompin', honky-tonking, rockin', good-time, American music.

Biography

Rob Ervin & the High-Strung Lifters were formed to give the members something to do when not selling our famous corn dogs (known as Lifter Dogs) on the demolition derby circuit.

We take a scoop of traditional country, sprinkle it with rock-n-roll, and cover it all in sweet good times for a dynamic, filling musical sundae that'll have you coming back for more.

Or maybe we're like a Hot Pocket: hot, gooey, traditional country stuffed in a delicious rock-n-roll crust.

Anyway we're based in the Hamilton-Cincinnati, OH corridor. Thank you for spending some time here.

Set List

We brew up a fine stew of covers and originals. For a typical 45 minute set, we do two or three originals for every cover, but we can be flexible and add more or less cover tunes.

Some of the cover tunes we play include:
"Six Days on the Road" by Dave Dudley, "Oh Lonesome Me" by Don Gibson, "White Lightning" by George Jones, "Something Else" by Eddie Cochran, "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby" by Carl Perkins, "Honky-Tonk Blues" by Hank Williams, "Burning Love" by Elvis, "Truck Driving Man" and more.

Our originals include such future classics as:
"You're So Pretty I'm Gonna Drink 'Til I can See Two Of You", "You Hear the Music (I Hear the Laughter)", "Corner Bar," "$30 Thursday", "Hound Dogs WIll Always Be True", "Goin' Grabblin'" and more.
