Bio

Rob Guthrie is an award-winning songwriter based in Tuscaloosa, AL. He began writing songs as the lead singer and guitarist for Mojo Hand--a rock outfit based in Asheville, NC--between the years of 2001 and 2004. During that period, Guthrie toured the southeastern circuit regularly, playing in clubs from Washington, D.C. to Tuscaloosa, and everywhere in between.

In April of 2008, Guthrie released his debut solo album, entitled "Living in Motion." Three of the nine songs on this record earned him finalist recognition in the 2007 Unisong International Songwriting Contest, as well as the 2008 Great American Song Contest. In addition, his song "Baltimore" was selected for catalog placement by SYNCHUP Publishing in October of 2008.

Most recently, Guthrie has teamed with fellow songwriter Seth Martin of Chapel Hill, NC to form The Sinful Savage Tigers, whose debut LP "Rain is the Soup of the Dogs in Heaven" was recently released in June of 2009. He contributed two songs to this nine-song collection: "Meet Me in the Vineyards" and "Venus on a Half Moon."

The Sinful Savage Tigers most recently performed at the 2008 Kentuck Festival of the Arts in Northport, AL. Their songs have been featured on Belgian radio networks, as well as on North Carolina and Alabama public radio programming.

Guthrie is currently a member of the performing rights organization ASCAP.
