Bio

Robin is a songwriter and recording artist whose mercurial temperament is emoted via her manipulation of off-beat sound vibrations and poetic messages. Her eclectic point of view is communicated by combining musical elements that match her inspiring lyrics.

Robin’s view of songwriting is to capture real emotions and deliver them in unique formats with universal appeal. However, as an artist, she just lets each song become what it is. If a song morphs into something else, her view is that the song is just expressing it's individuality and realizing it's full potential!

Influenced by several generations of music, Robin knows why being 40 is cool. This knowing comes from her birth roots in the psychadelic 60's, but also from listening to the Beatles on vinyl records in the 70's, going to metal concerts AND dancing to Madonna in the 80's, and becoming a grunge-rock fan in the 90's. After 9/11, when the whole world changed, Robin had to face her internalized fear of being a really brilliantly creative person which she had supressed...until she started writing songs. Now songwriting is her great elixir and she expects to let songs and music flow through her when they are ready to appear. She is especially looking forward to the flowering of her creative potential in the coming years.

Robin grew up in Spain where she was exposed to the music business at a very early age through her father who was a music teacher, Big Band Jazz leader, songwriter and producer. Despite her default involvement around music during her young life, Robin rebelled against becoming part of it after the death of her father. Finally realizing what a huge part of herself she was rejecting, Robin re-connected with her creative vein after the aforementioned 9/11 crisis.

This awakening caused a tremor in her personal life that coincided with her moving to Los Angeles. While in LA, Robin attended and worked at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood where she developed friendships with and was heavily influenced by the music and band members of Death to Anders, The Happy Hollows, veiled, and illium. The Los Angeles-area music scene broadened her musical visions and deepened her resolve to connect with organic forms of musical expression.

Now uploading from Fort Worth, Texas Robin continues to write new songs, wreck havok in her home recording studio, perform her music, and travel the world for inspiration.
