Bio

Rob Lehmann was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina and currently resides in Hoboken, New Jersey. Using strong storytelling and drawing on influences ranging from Alice in Chains to Dire Straits he creates a unique style of acoustic guitar driven rock that his fans affectionately call Folk Grunge. Rob originally started out as a student of classical guitar, something that still influences his current style of play. Around the age of 18 he started writing his own music and moved to Syracuse, New York where he lived and played for the next 4 years while attending Syracuse University. In 2000 Rob moved to New York City where he refined his style at open mic nights and as part of the Singer/Songwriter Sessions, playing at such venues as The Bitter End and CBGBs downstairs. In early 2005 Rob released, Wax Apologetic a five song CD. Recorded entirely in his apartment, Wax Apologetic featured his most popular songs including Believe, Bitter Game and I Hurt Myself (why are you such a whore). Currently Rob is working on new material, with the hopes of releasing a new CD sometime in late 2008.
