Robot-8 (aka Bobby Walker) has kept his identity a secret to let the music speak for itself. Robot-8 was born in Baltimore, Maryland and became involved with making music, dancing, and training in exotic hidden martial arts at an early age. After becoming a sought-after dancer for a Baltimore dance show on WJZ-TV, and excelling as a DJ for a local radio station, Robot-8 took a hiatus from making music to assist his martial arts instructors in training the U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Navy Seals.
From his martial arts experience, Robot-8 noticed that his instructors would train to music representing various nationalities, and he gravitated back to his first love: making music for the world to dance to and enjoy. In that moment, Robot-8 committed his life to making music that would co-mingle his experiences and emotions.
In 2007, he launched his own record label with a partner, and in 2008 he recorded and self-produced his first album, “Theory of Dance.” Since then, he has also collaborated with the Senior Vice President for Lion Gate Films to create one of his own musical videos. The buzz around Robot-8 continues to grow, and he wants to make the world dance.
