Biography

Robot Love Story was started by longtime friends Jeff Baum and Nic Kaiser. The band began when the two started writing and recording demos on Jeff’s powerbook. In early 2008 they entered the studio with producer and engineer Marc McClusky to record an 3 song EP entitled “Remember The Way You Used To Be.” The band added the remaining three members and is currently gearing up for touring to support their EP release.

Lyrics

North By NorthWest

Written By: Nic Kaiser

this north american hemisphere sleeps tonight,
unlike this restless boy, not tossing/turning for fun.
oh they're not alone unlike you and i,
and if my phone doesn't ring its ok
i didn't think you would call anyway.

oh damn what a let down
she's telling everybody that i'm different, i'm not the same.
and you've changed, and i don't even know your name.

goodnight sweet lover, i will hold you close even when you're not around.
i've got some memories they're of you and me.
goodnight my love, i'll be invading your dreams all night while you sleep,
to make them better, and make you wake up with a smile.

Picture Frames

Written By: Kaiser, Baum

Hey,
Your eyes don’t look the same
Something in the way
That you don’t quite meet my gaze
So we’ll lie here together
Like a picture we ought to frame
But I don’t know
If there’s anything left to say

You know that I’m sorry
But I’m way too proud
I’m full of excuses that I can’t let out
And you are the reason that
I can’t sleep now
Cause I don’t wanna live
Without your love

Just let go
Cmon and give her up
Cause you know
That love was meant for us
Now I’m close,
To ending up alone
I just hope
That you will always know

I’m wide awake
I listen to you breathing while you’re sleeping
I check your pulse to make sure that you’re still alive
I know that you’re always right
And I’m to blame
But I won’t even forget it
No I will never change

You know that I’m sorry
But I’m way too proud
I’m full of excuses that I can’t let out
But I know, that I was wrong
And I will make it up to you
Cause I don’t want to live
Without your love

Drowning

Written By: Kaiser, Baum

You threw me out
When you said you needed clarity
But you’ll find out
I’m exactly what you needed
You’re too strung out
You’re just a slave to all your dirty vices
Im picking up all your filthy habits
And bad intentions, we wont mention

So be honest
This time, baby
You can’t replace the void
I left in you
No strings attached
I’m just a goner
And my vitals dropping
No strings attached
You’ve got the finger
So just pull my trigger

You lost me now
Like a bottle cast in to the ocean
Watch me drown
Never again to be opened
I never believed in anybody,
Half as much as you
But then you threw me away

Remember how
We used to laugh ourselves to sleep together
Never cold we just ignored the weather
And when it rains
I know you’ll sleep much better
I still hate sleeping alone

Go on
You’re gone
I’m not looking back this time
It’s too late to save this one

You lost me now
Like a bottle cast in to the ocean
Watch me drown
Never again to be opened
I never believed in anybody,
Half as much as you
But then you threw me away

My skin is growing cold
The water’s swallowing me whole
You taught me how to breathe
And what a lie your love could be
I’d rather sink than swim
Like loving arms, you draw me in
My last request is that you
Never, ever, say my name again

You lost me now
Like a bottle cast in to the ocean
Watch me drown
Never again to be opened
I never believed in anybody,
Half as much as you
But then you threw me away
