Rob Snyder Band

Rob Snyder grew up in Roswell, Georgia with the Allman Brothers Band and the Marshall Tucker Band playing soundtrack to his youth from his father’s FM radio. So it was only natural that Snyder’s country music roots were firmly planted for him to tap into long after he left the Deep South.
After relocating to Springfield, Pennsylvania in 1988 for his father’s business, Snyder picked up his father’s... guitar and never looked back. While singing in church and constantly listening to the radio, Snyder’s love for music grew as fast as he did. Standing at 5'11' in the eighth grade, it was hard to miss him whether he was singing in church, or playing one of many sports he participated in.
Snyder began writing his own songs in his early teens and played in a band for four years where he began developing his songwriting craft. With high energy performances and a strong voice, Snyder drew from his strong background in Southern Rock, taking influence from music across the spectrum ranging from Pantera to Sublime.
Immediately after leaving high school in 2000, Snyder’s life was drastically altered when he lost three close friends in a very short period of time. But as fate would have it on a hot summer day while laying block as a mason, Randy Travis' "Three Wooden Crosses" came on the radio and changed him forever. Reflecting back, Snyder said "I remember liking some country music but it was not until I heard this song that it stopped me dead in my tracks and sent chills up my spine.” From that moment on, there was no holding back Snyder’s determination as his fate had been unleashed in all its righteous glory.
As his passion grew, so did Snyder. Now standing at 6’6”, he picked up the guitar again and began writing country songs every day, drawing from his personal love of the beach, good times, and life. Through a family friend, Snyder was able to reach out to Radney Foster for advice before a show at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia. Radney offered, " if this is want you want to do, you’re gonna have to dig deep, work harder than anyone else, and be true to yourself.” This sentiment was echoed a few days later when Snyder spoke with new country star Lee Brice at Benny the Bums in Philadelphia.
Snyder fed his development as a singer/songwriter by submerging himself in learning the history of country music by way of Merle Travis, Kris Kristofferson, and Waylon Jennings, all the way up to present day heroes Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser.
Snyder is a true force to be reckoned with in the country music family. Currently living in West Chester, Pennsylvania, he’s has had radio play on the second biggest country music station in the world, 92.5 WXTU, and opened up for Nashville recording artist James Otto in January 2011. Snyder’s quick wit, deep soul, and love for good times with good people translate through everything he does.
