Bio
Robyn Koester wanted to learn how to skydive. In 2003, on a British military base in Germany, lessons were being offered for a mere 20. But with the war on terror came the need for military aircraft. This left her with the next best offer: guitar lessons. Thankfully, however, she excelled and has turned her loss into our gain. Since moving to Regina, Robyn has made a habit of soft, settled, you-could-hear-a-pin-drop performances. Her first EP Depth in the Darkness was released in January 2014.
Robyn Koester originally hails from the hamlet of Seven Persons, AB. She has become a familiar voice at many local venues, opening for such talented artists as Rosie and the Riveters, Regina's jazz folk queen Belle Plaine and small town Saskatchewan's Little Miss Higgins.
"A soft-spoken story-teller featuring a beautifully pleasant voice and kind-hearted demeanour, Robyn Koester is on her way to becoming a commonly heard name in the Saskatchewan music scene." - Taron Cochrane, Regina's favourite media music commentator
