Lyrics

Trying To Forget You

Written By: Robyn Newman, Justin Gray

Don't say you'll stay when we both know you'll go
Don't say you will when we both know you won't
I'm only just a little caught up in the middle of me and you I can't get through
I'm trying but I'm so confused

Chorus:
If you're pushin and I'm pullin
Then why are we still here
Behind this cryin I'm dyin
To make you disappear
Why don't you understand
That I'm trying to forget you
But I can't

Let's not make a scene
Let's agree to disagree
No in between
What's left for workin out
Let's not pretend to know what this is all about
I'm only just a little caught up in the middle of me and you
I can't get through
I'm trying but I'm so confused

Chorus

Bridge
You're every mistake I ever made
You're every chance I wouldn't take
Here's everything I couldn't say

Chorus out

U Do It To Me

Written By: R. Newman, J. Gray

Hey how you doin baby
Where you been all my life
You're like an angel baby
That's fallin down from the sky

Of all the days I felt my life would never change
Then you came along and now i'll never be the same
No I can't breathe without you baby

Chorus
I know the boys like you are bad
but you do it to me
I'm feelin things I never have
Yeah you do it to me
You're like a habit
And I got to have it
I don't know what you do
But you do it to me

NOw that you're steppin to me
You can lose all your lines
I've seen a million of you
But you are one of a kind

I ain't leavin here unless you're comin home with me
so baby grab your things I think it's time for us to leave

Chorus

Bridge
I ain't leavin here unless you're comin home with me
So baby grab your things I think it's time for us to leave
Cause when you're not with me
I said when you're not with me
No when you're not with me
I can hardly breath

Body Language

Written By: Robyn Newman, Matthew Tishler

I don't bat my lashes
And I don't flip my hair
When I walk, I never
Shake my derriere

I don't lick my lips
And I don't caress your thigh
When we're out, I always
Stare at other guys

CHORUS
I don't want to have to say it
So what else do I have to do to display it
Boy, read the signals, read the signs
Are you stupid, are you blind.
I don't wanna be unkind,
So just read my BODY LANGUAGE, read my BODY LANGUAGE.
Oh, is it so hard to take a hint
It seems like I've tried everything
It's not that hard to see
Boy you’ve got to read my BODY LANGAUGE

I don't laugh at all your jokes
I don't whisper in your ear
When you pay, I don't say
Thank you, my dear.

I don't let you hold my hand
And I don't lean into your touch
When you say I'm sexy
I don't even blush.

CHORUS

My body is trying to tell you something
So open up your eyes
You might be surprised

Boy It's Tough to be a Girl

Written By: Robyn Newman, Matthew Tishler

Single ladies clap your hands
Here’s a song to sing to all the single men
I’m not sure if we can,
But we gotta try to make them understand.

Oh, they don’t know
What we go through every day
No, they don’t know

CHORUS

BOY IT’S TOUGH TO BE A GIRL
High-heeled shoes and mini-skirts
Takes at least an hour to do our hair
Oh, it hurts to be beautiful
Make-up on and lashes curled
Oh it isn’t fair livin’ in this world,
BOY IT’S TOUGH TO BE A GIRL

Single ladies scream and shout
‘Cuz it’s time to cut it loose and let it out
If the boys think we’re too loud
Gonna stomp our feet and make our mammas proud.

Oh, they don’t know
What it takes to look this way
No, they don’t know

CHORUS

But if my hair’s not done, no make up on,
You better not complain
If you don’t like what you see
You’re not worth it anyway

Single ladies clap your hands
Here’s a song to sing to all the single men

CHORUS

I Won't Wait

Written By: Robyn Newman, Matthew Tishler

Baby I can hardly breathe
When your lips are kissing me
Oh, I go insane

One day its seems that you’re in love with me
The next I don’t know what to think
It’s the same old thing, it’s the same old thing
Over and over, again and again

CHORUS
I WON’T WAIT around for you forever
One day I’ll wake up and you’ll be too late just
Please don’t pretend someday we’ll be together
How long do you want me to wait?
I WON’T WAIT

Sometimes it feels like you don’t care
When I’m around and you’re not there
Oh, I go insane

But we can’t deny the chemistry
You’re making this so hard for me
Do I stay or do I leave?
It’s the same old thing
Over and over, again and again

CHORUS

I don’t know if you’re afraid
Of making all the same mistakes
That you did before me
I’m not asking you to change
But I’m tired of playing the same old games
Over and over, again and again

CHORUS

Stranded

Written By: Robyn Newman, Justin Gray, Mark Masri, Matthew Tishler

Where are the heroes, we used to know
That made you believe that, you’re not alone
Where are those angels, whose wings unfold
And carry a world too heavy to hold

CHORUS
A baby’s breath
A new day’s sun
The last first kiss
The ones you love
A laugh so hard
It makes you tear
You’re not stranded here
No, you’re not stranded here

Why are the fearless, frightened away
When now more than ever, there’s something to say
Where are the faithful, steady and strong
As we’re bending and barely still holdin on

CHORUS

The heroes and angels, the fearless and faithful
There’s so much to fight for, to live for, to die for
So don’t give up hope, just keep holding on to…

CHORUS

Under Observation

Written By: Robyn Newman, Matthew Tishler, Jay McGroarty

Under Observation
Music & Lyrics by
Matthew Tishler,
Robyn Newman &
Jay McGroarty
Well hello there,
Look who's back now
Gotta say, I'm not surprised
Said you moved on,
But I guess that's not the case.

Said you were thinking
About me
Well I've thought about you too
Play your cards right and it might not be too late

But there's something you should know
If we're gonna try again
Here's the one thing you should know

If you want me back
Gotta put you on probation
For another chance
There'll be rules and regulations
Every email sent, every voicemail checked
Every second spent, every move that you are makin'
Will be UNDER OBSERVATION

Clever story
It's impressive
Gonna take your word for now
You say, "Trust me"
I say, "Maybe, somehow"

PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS

I'm gonna keep my eye on you
Don't make me waste my time on you
Or baby you can kiss this thing goodbye

CHORUS

All It Takes

Written By: Robyn Newman, Matthew Tishler

All It Takes
Music & Lyrics by
Matthew Tishler &
Robyn Newman
When it's cold out
When it's raining
When I'm feeling sad inside
When tears are falling
And my heart is breaking

Something can make it better
Someone can make it right

ALL IT TAKES
Is a little kiss upon my face
Or a simple glance you throw my way
To know that everything
Is gonna be OK
Yeah babe, that's ALL IT TAKES

When I'm worn out
When I'm broken
When it's too dark to see the light
A heavy burden
Turns to feathers

With every stolen moment
My troubles fade out of sight
And it's all right

CHORUS

Like a hug that lasts forever
Like a smile that never fades
The smallest thing can make the biggest change

CHORUS

Don't Know What To Say Now

Written By: Robyn Newman/Matthew Tishler/Vince Degorgio

I'm not saying what he did was wrong
Don't know why it takes so long
To sit here waiting for his mind to change
Shouldn't be this way

Broken circles that I walked all night
While he drives me around till we fight
Love can't help us if we hurt ourselves
And I won't hurt myself

DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY now
And I'm not gonna force out the words
DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY now
Let it be something he hasn't heard
When the silence is broken
I'll promise he'll know
There's no worry
I won't go running away now
I just DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY now

We can't act like we are still sixteen
Standin' around, sayin' what we don't mean
Underneath it all, one thing hurts real bad
The thought of losing what we have

CHORUS

There's a knock on my door
And I've heard it before
Do I listen to him
Do I let him in
Do I want him seein' me cry
I don't wanna hurt
I just can't find the words

ONE TOO MANY TIMES

Written By: Aaron Curtis, Matt Tishler, Robyn Newman

You're running late
A big mistake
I'm turning off my ringer now
Leaving the scene
Destroyed the dream
I 'm so not waiting for the fall

Don’t be surprised
If I say goodbye
Just smile and know
There's no reason why
We keep going around and around and around

No making up
Won't call a truce
Don't bother now, there ain't no use
We gave it all
But now we're through
I'm sick of never, ever knowing the truth
From all the lies
Don't try and try to make this right
Cause I've heard it ONE TOO MANY TIMES

No warning signs
You crossed the line
Can't turn around, you're driving blind
Excuses made
But it's way too late
To mend the fences, since we're done

Pre-Chorus
Chorus

Get out of my way
Got nothing to say
You're losing this race, falling behind
Way out of control
With nowhere to go
I'm warning you, so be careful

Chorus
