Pop/ Folk singer/songwriter has been compared to the likes of Thom Yorke, Rufus Wainwright and Paul Simon, with an eclectic mix of sounds spanning from Pop/ Folk to Spanish influences.


Rocher (Aaron Roche) is an accomplished Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Dublin. A guitarist from the age of twelve, he has built years of experience in music performance as a solo performer, with bands/ ensembles, orchestras and choirs also. Experimenting all the time with music, he brings new flavours and twists to his song writing as well as a more intimate personal approach to any song he touches. The name Rocher (as in the French for "rock") was conceived amidst the French origins of his surname.

His recent success in the Olympia Theatre opening the night for 'The Last Waltz' has marked Rocher a huge presence in the song writing world and on the live stage. Upon winning the competition in 2011 for the opening slot in the Olympia he has earned the respect of musicians and music lovers from all over Dublin and has gone on tour as support to 'The Last Waltz' into 2012, spanning an array of venues nationwide including: Set Theatre, Kilkenny; The Forum, Waterford; Dolans, Limerick and Glor Theatre, Clare. Utilizing this platform, he has gained a dedicated following. 2012 seen Rocher burst onto the festival summer stage, including: Strawberry Fest, Taste of Dublin, Knockan Stockan and Electric Picnic.

2013 has seen the launch of Rocher's eagerly anticipated debut EP 'Seven Hours' to a sold out crowd at The Grand Social, Dublin. Complete with free Ferrero Rocher's, a masquerade theme and full 7 piece band including, violin and trumpet, it has been Rocher's biggest success to date and is set to be the one to watch in 2013. He has recently made his TV debut on TG4's Pop4 show and his debut EP is available to buy on the 26th of March along with many other exciting works in the pipeline.
