I wanna rock to the rhythm, the rock n' roll music tonight!

Biography

******************************
Poised with pure determination and ambition for 2010, Rockabelly is back for the punch. Hitting the stage for his 7th year Tony Day comes out with his debut album I Wanna Rock! Filled with non-stop catchy, acoustic rhythmic leads played on his Washburn guitar, Tony solely drives out the rock from roll. From start to finish you can hear the roots of the late 50’s to early 60’s influenced in his music. His first self-titled track “I Wanna Rock” is quick, and to the point with attitude, and aggression. Other originals like “Molly” & “At The Rock n’ Roll” will leave you dancing through the night, while songs “I Need Your Love” & "Girl Rock" portray a B-side to Tony’s already reputable, bad attitude. It is the simplicity illustrated in his song writing ability that truly brings back the art of soul, to the sound of rock n’ roll.

Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada

Dance, dance, dance just as fast as you can
Move, move, move any way you groove
Scream, scream, scream baby say it with me
Put another record in the record machine

(Verse 1)
It’s Friday night I just got paid
I wanna take my little baby today
To a rockn’ room where the music booms
And the djs’ play the greatest tunes.
Cos I got time to celebrate
The weekends here and the ladies look great
It’s the summer time let’s have some fun tonight
And party like it was back in old times

Dance, dance, dance just as fast as you can
Move, move, move any way you groove
Scream, scream, scream baby say it with me
Put another record in the record machine

Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada

(Verse 2)
Now Jack n’ Jill just stumbled in
Mary and Lou were at it again
While Romeo with his Juliet
Were dancing in the corner with no regrets
Now Barbara Ann and Suzie Q
With sweet little Sheila knew what to do
So baby take my hand it’s time to move
And dance, dance, dance while we’re in the grove

Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
Wop wop wop, wop wop, bah adada
