"Pointdujour is recognized in Philly as an outstanding original artist who swims against the current of the indie-mainstream scene"

Pointdujour is recognized in Philly as an outstanding original artist who swims against the current of the indie-mainstream scene and plays a fusion of Hatiankompa music and punk that begs to be heard - ArtistDirect.com

"Body-Rocking Kompa"

The annual 2nd Street Festival returns to Northern Liberties on August 5th, bringing with it a hefty and eclectic lineup ranging from Man Man‘s freaky art-rock to Blayer PointduJour and the Rockers Galore‘s body-moving kompa, and The Great Unknown‘s classic Americana. - WXPN.ORG

"We bring different people together"

We cross many different boundaries. We bring together a lot of different types of music and people. - Courier Post Online

"If you're not familiar with the elastic rhythms and ecstatic melodies of Haitian kompa music, Blayer Point Du Jour will school you."

If you're not familiar with the elastic rhythms and ecstatic melodies of Haitian kompa music, Blayer Point Du Jour will school you. Once a supporting player in Philly dub-punks Phil Moore Brown, BPDJ has come into his own on Port Au Prince, the solo EP he released on the Philebrity Label last fall. The set jumps from nightclub anthems ("Gunz of Philly," a riff on The Skatalites' "Guns of Navarone") to social treatises ("Iron Dread"), and his eight-piece backing band The Rockers Galore pop like firecrackers. - Citypaper

"A first-generation Haitian-American, Blayer is a singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist whose work incorporates a globe-trotting array of influences, from reggae and dancehall to 1977-style punk rock and many, many points in between."

Philebrity Label, our side piece/evangelical musical platform, is proud to introduce the newest artist we’re working with, Blayer Pointdujour. A first-generation Haitian-American, Blayer is a singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist whose work incorporates a globe-trotting array of influences, from reggae and dancehall to 1977-style punk rock and many, many points in between. Over the years, Blayer has done lots of time as a ringer in hardcore bands, but we’ve loved him ever since he broke out on his own with the Access Card demo back in May 2010. Since those bedroom demos, Blayer has assembled a big band of his own, The Rockers Galore, played a slew of gigs, and most recently, completed his debut EP for Philebrity Label, Port Au Prince, which is available now on iTunes. - Philebrity

"An ambitious explosion of dancehall, dub, hip-hop, and more."

What started out as a solo multi-instrumentalist mixtape project back in 2008 has since emerged into an ambitious explosion of dancehall, dub, hip-hop, and more. After extended recording sessions, Blayer Pointdujour and his Rockers Galore have been able to manifest the original demos into their debut EP Port Au Prince. - The Deli

"Blayer & Rockers on WXPN KEY Sessions"

For this month’s Key Studio Video Session, we profiled Blayer PointduJour and The Rockers Galore. A musician with roots in Hatian kompa music, reggae, and punk, PointduJour has been a longtime side player in Philly acts like Miss Argentina and Phil Moore Brown. This band provides the first showcase of his own songwriting, and its Port Au Prince EP is being released on Philebrity Label. - Wxpn.org

"an update of the Don Letts/Clash/Big Audio Dynamite axis that we’ve never really been able to get enough of"

“We were lucky enough to get this leaked track, “Guns Navaro,” which calls to mind, for us, nothing so much as an update of the Don Letts/Clash/Big Audio Dynamite axis that we’ve never really been able to get enough of. - Philebrity Press

"Big Beat Orchestrator"

When you unleash an ambitious new eleven-piece music project onto the world you need to put out a masterful recording that gives it proper justice. And that’s exactly what dub, big beat orchestrator Blayer Pointdujour aims to do,.The artist has been involved in the Philly music scene for a good eight years now and has been a part of projects such as Phil Moore Browne, Miss Argentina and Kid Kreyol. Bill Mctrill - The Deli - The Deli

"“Blayer Pointdujour puts down his drumsticks, picks up an MPC and tells A.D. Amorosi about it.""

At 29, Blayer Pointdujour has lived several lifetimes inside local punk-rock circles. The Newark-born/South Philly-residing vocalist/multi-instrumentalist laughs easily about being one of few black guys in a primarily Caucasian scene. He drummed for Miss Argentina, recorded with Fugazi/Minor Threat producer Don Z, and rocked out with Kid Kreyol and The Ghouls (later known as Hate and War). His brand new debut solo jawn, the sweet-spirited Access Card, is his most dramatic stuff yet: sample-heavy punk and dub, with spacey soul elements. Add in his angelic voice and poignant lyrical sensibility and the results are akin to Gnarls Barkley meeting Big Audio Dynamite. - Philadelphia Citypaper
