Rocket Transfer

After several years of playing with each other in various groups, the guys decided to put their own band together in 2007. Going months without a name and nowhere to regularly rehearse, they eventually found an old warehouse building bearing the faded letters "Rocket Transfer." Two problems solved. Rocket Transfer has evolved into one of the region's hottest cover bands playing a wide variety of classic 70's and 80's rock songs as well as hits of today.

Known for high energy shows and playing songs people love to hear, RT has played events with major artists including Night Ranger, Little River Band, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Blink 182, and Bob Segar. Never afraid to tackle a challenge, RT chooses songs the average band would not even attempt. From U2, to Van Halen, to Rush, and even Journey, RT consistently delivers performances that leave crowds wondering if the actual artist was there.

RT also has original material with catchy, smart songwriting and great performances that get and keep people's attention. Rocket Transfer released a 5-song EP in 2008 that has been well received by fans, with "See Beautiful" in rotation on several Des Moines radio stations. The band is currently working to complete their first full-length album of original material.
