Dave Daniels Biography
From an early age, Dave Daniels has been surrounded by music. He specializes in playing both electric and acoustic guitar, but can also sing, play bass, and drums. His strong musical ability has afforded him the opportunity to play many different styles with various musicians and has been writing and recording since 1996. In 2002 after becoming a guitar instructor he also did some recording as a session musician.
At the end of 2004, his work RockSolidMusicVol.1 was finally complete. He quickly got it copyrighted and his hopes soared. In a very short time he sold 125 copies through word of mouth. RSMV.1 is now available online.
Just over a year later in October of 2006, Dave founded his company, RockSolidMusic. Mr. Daniels has had experience working with music in many genres and considers RockSolidMusic to be a combination of any one or more of the following styles: folk, country, roots, blues, rock, heavy metal, grunge, classical, shred, and spiritual. After launching his business Dave joined Alberta Music in 2006, S.A.C. in 2008, and SOCAN in 2008, with hopes of expanding both his options and his knowledge in the musical industry.
Mr. Daniels has increased his fan base substantially with the time honored tradition of busking. Dave realized he was making more money playing acoustically than anything else so RSM made the jump into the subway stations for the winter. Warmer temperatures and a continuous flow of people have kept Dave going back every week twice a week to the LRT. To date, his record in proceeds is $271.40 in 5 hours. Aug. ’08 and Dec. '09 saw income of $1400 +.
RockSolidMusicVol.2. is done. His website is completed which includes an online store to enable downloads of both CD’s RSMV.1 & 2; and the video’s he recorded in the summer of ’07 and ’08. Recently added is his new material filmed in Dec. '09 out of the LRT while busking to give fans the ability to watch him play live if they had never seen him before.
RockSolidMusic has been established, and now it is time to be noticed.
