I grew up in a house where my parents dined on Frank Sinatra and Kenny Rogers. My brothers would feast on Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Kiss. I snacked on everything that fell through the cracks. The Clash, David Bowie, Billy Joel, Prince, Tom Waits and Elvis Costello.
Music should be a familiar friend to you. A lyric, a melody, a riff, a sound that takes you back to a familiar place, time or moment.
To some, music is a temple. A foundation. The ground beneath your feet, the air in your lungs. To others, music is background noise. Hums and chatter fade in and out of everyday life.
I am SOME as opposed to others.
