ROCNFREEZE (Born In Miami, FL.) are a team of Hip Hop/ R&B Producers, consisting of Joel “Joe Roc” Allen and Jason “ Mista Freeze” Gomez. The two have been musicians since they were children, composing and arranging music for their middle school band, where they met and became friends. They officially became a tandem in 2006, combining their production, hook writing and songwriting prowess to become a force to be reckoned with in the fast rising Miami hip hop scene.
They are best known for their originality, an eclectic sound that fuses hip hop/ r&b with their jazz and classical training, nicely blended with elements of calypso, reggae and soca from their island heritage. They also include a signature stamp, predominantly heard at the beginning of their tracks, an intense scream followed by the words “So Gangsta Gutta”. A Trademark which is now widely known for being associated with ROCNFREEZE tracks(product endorsement). Their production is best described as cutting edge and their ability to portray the vision of a tracks “feel” through hook writing, really brings each song to life.
ROCNFREEZE have worked with talents such as T.I. (Jason Mills), Rick Ross, Trick Daddy(Hollow Tip Studios), Gloria Estefan, Betty Wright, Dirt Bag, No Good, Will Hart formerly of the Delfonics, Sonny Spoon, Nasty Nu (2pac’s Outlawz), Black Out Movement, Tyrese, 3 piece, The Isleys, The Iconz Music Group, Mike Sherman etc.
