Rodd D.

Hailing from Bennettsville, South Carolina, Rodd. D brings a more soulful and lyrical essence to this generation’s hip-hop. Born December 12, 1990, it’s no surprise as to why Rodd. D’s music is filled with much nostalgia. With influences such as Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Big Krit, and J. Cole, he strives to create a lane of his own with his witty lyrics and unique sounds. After releasing his first project "Below and Behind" in 2011, Rodd. D decided to gather himself and determine where exactly he wants to take his music career.

 Rodd. D first release, "Sade" did solid numbers and created a small buzz in several different regions. Since then he has continued to focus on perfecting his craft and creating his own niche in the music industry. He released a joint EP with award-winning producer Skyz Muzik who has been credited for working with artists such as Kanye West, Drake, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Styles P and more! The EP titled Hangar 31 birth several new songs where Rodd. D was able to display his musical growth. These songs consisted of One Time, May the Force Be with You, and Toast to Life.  After the release of Hangar31, Rodd. D teamed up with New York producer Money Montage who produced projects for Dizzy Wright, MMG and Styles along with others. The two have hinted around about dropping a highly anticipated project together titled Midnight Blues, which will be produced by Money Montage alone. The prequel to Midnight Blues will be the 11:59 EP which will feature a list of talented producers such as Twane Picaso (Rodd. D’s brother), Grove$ide, and Beach Boy Rico who are Rodd D’s longtime friends.

 In late 2015, Rodd. D joined up with Atlanta based Blac Skye Music Group to begin Rodd. D’s rookie campaign. With the help of his brother and super producer Twane Picaso, Rodd. D is preparing to release the first single for 11:59 entitled Last Night; which will be his first release under Blac Skye Music Group.
