Biography

Mobile, Alabama native; saxophonist Roderick Cotton, is the harbinger of a new sound. He burst onto the music scene in 2008 with his debut project entitled "Modification". "Modification” is a divergence from the traditional jazz standards but just as smooth. The album promises to entertain you as it moves from relaxing grooves to sounds of spontaneous expression.

He has shared the stage with numerous bands and artist such as the Spiritual Vibes Gospel Group, The E.B. Coleman Orchestra and the Bay City Brass Band. Roderick has also performed at various festivals and public events including Bay Fest, Funk Fest and the Gulf Coast Classis.

Roderick branched out as a solo artist at his first live show "Get Modified" on June 28, 2009 at the Mobile Convention Center. He is currently in the studio recording his sophomore album "Transitions".
