BandJazzPop

Catchy pop songs with a definate jazz and latin influence. Ethereal Vocals and excellent musicians!

Biography

Rodina is the new singer whose debut album "Over the Sun" is a cool blend of chill-out and pop. Originally from Co. Laois in Ireland she moved to the U.K. as a youngster and grew up within the diverse Leeds music scene. Rodina has a style of her own but has been compared to Morcheeba, Goldfrapp or singer Astrud Gilberto. With ethereal vocals and a great depth in production, all the self-penned songs are catchy and embracing. On the album, Rodina features the Haggis Horns (of Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse) and Joe Tatton (Corinne Bailey Rae, The New Mastersounds) who also produced the album. Rodina has so far played gigs in Spain and Istanbul, done festivals and performed a special gig supporting Corinne Bailey Rae. 2010 should be a great year for Rodina
