At an early age, Rodney's passion for music began in a family immersed in the heritages of gospel and rhythm and blues. His southern roots are evident in his charm, and that passion to be a part of music is what eventually brought Rodney to the west coast.

In 1998, Rodney's first taste of music entertainment was actually behind the scenes at A&M Records in Hollywood where he assisted in promoting artists such as Sting, The Sounds Of Blackness, Ice Cube, Sheryl Crow, and Bryan Adams to name a few. Since then, Rodney has continued to develop a unique sound and style of his own as a recording artist and songwriter. Blending contemporary R&B with the smooth sounds of jazz, funky house, chill and dance music. Rodney has crafted what once was a personal hobby into a blossoming professional career.

It's been six years since Rodney's relocation to Los Angeles. Now, Rodney is taking his business pursuits to the next level. With the launch of his companies SOR Entertainment and BlacBank Music Publishing (ASCAP), Rodney continues to add songs to his own catalog, which also includes lyrical expressions in Chinese and Spanish. Currently, Rodney is promoting his latest disc The Sound of Love: Extended Play Project.

Rodney's talent and business intelligence are no secret to the observer of his craft; however what many businessmen don't know about this multi-faceted entrepreneur is that his passions extend to many other areas as well. One in particular is his dedication to helping others. Instilled with a sense of giving, Rodney volunteers his time to various charities and organizations dedicated to serving the less fortunate. He has partnered with the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House for ill children, Agape's Helping Hand which aids in feeding the homeless, as well as AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), in which portions of the proceeds from his latest CD will help further AIDS education and awareness in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Whether through music or lending a hand of support, giving of himself has always been important to Rodney -- a quality appreciated and often admired by those around him.
