By the age of 15 Rodney and his brothers formed their first cover band RACK'N'RUIN and played the Hunter pub and club circuit for 6 years. During
this time Rodney discovered a passion for songwriting, and in 1996 Rodney and his brothers formed the original trio BROWN HOUSE RATS. They released an EP and supported bands such as Custard, Died Pretty & Skunkhour. He then moved to Newcastle and joined retro funk cover band WOBBLE.

JONAH'S ROAD are enjoying rising success in the Australian music scene and Rodney Auld plays a significant part in that success.

Lyrics

Don't Cry My Boy

Written By: Rodney Auld

Time is a window
As you lay on your pillow
And stare at my guitar as I play
That’s how I wanted you to stay

Time is a wheel
It spins and conceals
All the sorrow and pain that you show
So remember to smile as your…

Head’s in your shirt and the world outside turns
Don’t cry my boy please don’t cry

Stare as you listen
Searching for sounds
Blackbird soothes your soul
The only song you know

Stealing my kisses
You’re hiding your eyes
The smile on your face says it all
But there’s always a time when your…

Head’s in your shirt and the world outside turns
Don’t cry my boy please don’t cry
As you sigh in your sleep, are you dreaming for keeps?
Close your eyes my boy close your eyes

Two arms are holding out to me
Two arms are wider than the sea
Hold on until you find a dream
Two arms until you fall asleep

Love is an ocean
As we stand at its shores
Water’s cool as it laps at your feet
But it will roll you until your

Head’s in a spin and your world’s caving in
Don’t cry my boy please don’t cry
As you sigh in your sleep, are you dreaming for keeps?
Take your time my boy, wonder why
