Artist Bio
Living with a driven passion to serve the Lord, RoExodus born Monroe Figgs-Drane) has come to the point in his life were he realizes the talent that was given to him by the Lord and Saviour was meant to be used for the Glory of God. "Coming from a history of street life, so many tragedies occurred I was lead to follow my hidden mind. So I started thinking, "what am I here for"? After being introduced into Christianity the answer to my question was clearly given to me from the Lord with one word... SERVE."
Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, RoExodus come from a family of five, a single mother and 3 older brothers. "Being the youngest son I had three older brothers to look upon as role models and influences. So I did what was known to do as a little bro, rampage through their things, bug them, and hang around them as much as possible. I got on their nerves but oh well, lol, they were my only source for learning how to be a man." While growing up in the neighborhood RoExodus connected with his best friend and new profound brother Lindsay Jones (The 4Runna). As they brotherhood and friendship grew, the two became tight and inseparable.
As time progressed street life has became a first nature to "Roe", from the street gang activities, fornications with woman, law breaking and much more. It became a time in his life where he felt there was more to life than the one he was living. "One day I was getting cut up by Linz (Lindsay), and he was telling me how he does gospel rap. I told him I don't know about that but I do know about "hood rap"! He invited me to church one day; I never really been; and I must admit that day had a major impact on me. I felt something strong within that wanted to get out and my interest of knowledge became overwhelming and I wanted to know who this Jesus they were talking about was."
Through many studying hours and dedication of determination Roe discovered where his love and passion really was in life, and most importantly he discovered his purpose of life. "Jesus Christ died for me and I did not want to be one of the lost to put His death in vein, so I did and do what He said do, "Go out and Disciple to the world".
"Through prayer, searching and further school education, the desire to start a gospel music label became a plan. Inspired a verse in the bible Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. Next Level Seal has become my mission, and music has become a way for me to share testimonies and life changing situations that Christ has brought me through."
