Based in Los Angeles, Nuborn Babies are one of the hottest new local bands. Roland brings a voice that is as mesmerizing and soulful as any big name singer out there. Add that to the coincidentally similar looks and voila - it is no wonder he quickly is establishing quite a following. Nuborn Babies successfully captures both a U2 and Coldplay essence, mixed in with some jazz theory to produce a dynamic, exciting and amazingly eclectic experience that’s truly remarkable.
Soon to be touring nationally, Nuborn Babies has a few performances under their belt, from Irish Fesitvals and meet and greets to the local Hollywood club scene. They are a new sound, and have just hit upon one their best works in Hollywood Girl. In 1996 Roland Rosas and Louis Vasquez met during freshers weeks at Pasadena City College. They got together to form a band they called SR7. Next university friend Gerry Treslum joined them, and the band’s name was changed to StarKiller. Local clubs showed some interest in them, and the band played a number of small gigs in the Pasadena area. Early in 1998, Will Cambridge joined the band to play bass (he’d never played them before, but was an all-round musical talent, quickly mastered them). Not long after Will joined, the band's name underwent a final change - to Nuborn Babies.
