Bio

James “Rollah” Medina

James “Rollah” Medina grew up as a member in his uncle’s church all his life. Rollah’s grandmother is a faithful Christian who would always take him to church. Though he was raised in the Word, during middle school Rollah put God in the back seat playing the game that we call church. His family never really knew the negative side of his life. Rollah would get into things that he wasn’t supposed to. He was your potential ‘bad kid’. God was important to Rollah, but only when he needed him.
Around his eighth grade year, Rollah’s mother had experienced divorce. She was a very strong prayer warrior, and during this trial, she approached every situation with a positive attitude. She taught Rollah that no matter what he went through in life, if he just gave it to God, everything would be all right. Through his mother’s faithfulness, Rollah became serious about serving God. Seeing his mother go through one of the most trying times of her life, and still have joy, made Rollah finally believe that God could do all things. God deleted Rollah’s suicidal tendencies, and proved that someone did love him. From then on, there was no turning back for Rollah.
Since then, Rollah has been a board member for the infamous S.T.R.A.P.P.E.D. Ministries, released his debut album “1T4:12”, been a leader for C.A.L.L.E.D. Ministries, graduated salutatorian of Sierra High School, and now involves himself on the board of directors with G-L.I.F.E. Outreach.
Rollah has since then gone through another trying time in his life. Money for school was not in his favor, thus he became real discouraged. He also involved himself with something that again almost ended his life, Love. With financial aid slamming doors, dysfunctional relationships and a broken heart, Rollah had to get away. He and his good friend Ryzen took a spiritually cleansing trip to America’s west coast. With the lies on his career, unfaithful women, a busted family, disorder, confusion, depression, hate and rage in his past, physically and spiritually, “Rollahz Back”!

Rollah's infuences include Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, NWA, LL Cool J, Run DMC, UTFO, MC Breed, Preachaz in the Hood, Unity Klan, T-Bone, Gospel Gangstaz, Sevin, this life we live, and above all these, Jesus Christ!

Rollah is not your steriotypical hispanic rapper. Rather than the high hats, spanish lyrics, and slow tempo (however, Rollah does contain some of these elements in some songs), he brings the west coast rida music!
