Rome is new to the rap scene but has all the intentions of making his name well known throughout to be exposed to the world. His debut cd is scheduled to be self released in the fall of 2005 entitled, " When in Rome." A true journeyman at heart, Rome has lived in numerous states and countries and has incorporated those living experiences in his body of work. " I have never had a hood to call my own," says Rome. I have never lived in one place long enough to call home." My living conditions and sense for change and survival have dictated my journey through life."
When asked about the life that he has lead, the most revealing insight into his persona is that there was no one who was influential in his upbringing. Rome proclaims that he is a self taught and self made man with the guidance of God at an early age. His trials and tribulations have at last found an outlet. For Rome, the focus is to create a body of work that is timeless and deliver that body of work with groundbreaking intentions to his fans. His music is equal parts raw, soulful, rebellious, and thought provoking. He has stressed that it is critical to create subject matter that clearly moves him first and foremost. " I am my worst critic," says Rome. It's got to feel right, down to every verse. "As for the creative process, I reach within myself and at times my thoughts can be universal, playful, surreal,raw, sexual, violent, or explicit in nature." One things for sure, you will hear him loud and clear. " There's only room for heavyweights in the Rap Game. I clearly understand the concept." Believe me, Rome is pound for pound a true heavyweight.
