Songwriter, Producer & Rapper Derrone L Bates aka Ron Lomont and Formerly known as Money Makin' D was born on 3/11/89 and hails from and resides in Durham, NC and has been making waves in the Hip-Hop/Rap and Urban Pop genres with his dope production and musical contributions. Gifted with the ability to play Piano, Drums & Percussion, Ron Lomont started making Music at 7 as a way to express himself, escape from the world around him and also to inspire others, and lists his Influences as his reality and musical idols as Prince, Jay-z, T.I, Jason Geter, LA Reid, Pharrell, Ron English & Mike Caren. Since Ron Lomont started Recording, engineering & making beats for local talent professionally in 2010, and performing as an artist himself, he has featured in several blogs and toured for Local 506 3 on 3, Coast 2 Coast Live, SE Music Fest, Opened up for Lil Debbie for The California Sweetheart Tour, Coast 2 Coast DJS showcase,Young Hustle Tour and many more. In 2015 Ron Lomont released his first EP, “The Oneirism EP”, and followed that up with other projects such as “Double MD Pack” with BCMG/Fortune Empire and “When The Planets Collide” with Producer Michael Angelo (Mixed by Mike U) and continues to promote himself on social media and local open mics, and is currently working on a collaboration album with his team, NBGMG.
