“The eggs ain’t easy there just over”. The opening lyrics of his debut single: The Candlelight These lyrics grabbed the attention of the music world like a newly hired waiter dropping a tray full of fine crystal in a fancy restaurant. Ronald Dorsey is a singer, songwriter, and pianist based in New York City. He began singing in church at age 9, and hasn’t stopped since. He is greatly influenced by all styles of music, especially jazz. He has traveled the United States extensively and has lived in California, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Florida. His travels are unmistakably reflected in his songwriting. He has performed at The Bitter End, The Sugar Bar, The Village Underground, and various clubs in the New York City metro area. He currently teaches children piano, and guitar as well as play piano for private occasions. He enjoys seeing the response that an audience has to his live performance, and relishes every opportunity to bring others joy and inspiration. His musical journey is directed at bringing the spectrum of human emotion alive through music.
