Raised on a diet of cornbread, apple butter, and John Denver, Ron Dunbar's been writing and singing tunes since his sister first told him that college girls liked the boys who played guitar. Nearly 20 years later, college chicks ain't diggin the bald guy, but he's writing music anyway.
"Something tells me I have to. It's kinda like that tickle you get on the back of your neck when you're walking up a dark stairway. The one that tightens your gut and makes you turn around. You feel like if you don't, you might die. I like living, so I write tunes."
Ron's influences include Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Tracy Chapman, David Wilcox, Doc Watson, Nick Drake, Dave Matthews, Indigo Girls, Blind Melon, Kruger Brothers, Taj Mahal, Darrell Scott, Gillian Welch, and the list goes on...
