ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Comedic performer and Atlanta
native Ron G. will perform in the Starz original stand-up comedy series
"Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up" on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 10
p.m. (ET/PT).
Ron G. has performed in many comedy clubs including the Comedy Stone, The
Laugh Factory and The Comedy Union. In addition, he released his first comedy
CD entitled "Don't Judge Me." In 2005, Ron G. was crowned Sierra Mist's "Late
Nite Laff Off" winner.
"Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up" is executive produced by
one of America's most popular actor/comedians, Martin Lawrence. Now in its
third season, the weekly series features 35 talented, explosive, and certainly
not politically correct, comedians who take the spotlight to tell it like it
is in their own hard-hitting style. Filmed before a live audience in
Washington, D.C. at the historic Lincoln Theatre, the show is hosted by
comedian Doug Williams who adds his own style of comedy. Spinning the music is
celebrated entertainer and DJ Biz Markie. Featured comedians are Rickey Smiley
("Comic View"), Angelo Lozada ("Showtime at the Apollo"), Steve Brown ("Def
Comedy Jam") and others.

Since graduating from the University of South Carolina, this former class clown decided it was time to make the move to Los Angeles and follow his dream. His performance presents down to earth humor with a high energy urban flair. He began his stand up career in Atlanta, GA, and was crowned 1st place winner of the 2005 Sierra Mist Late Night Laff Off. Quickly following that, he was a finalist on the new hit TV show Bill Bellamy's 'Who's Got Jokes' but was really thrown in the spotlight when he appeared as a finalist on this season of NBC's Last Comic Standing. He's also been seen on numerous commercials and is the new national Spokesperson for Checker's & Rally's Restaurants. After receiving his first standing ovation only eight months in the game, he knew he had found his calling. Watch out...Ron G is destined to be the next Great King of Comedy!
