Ron Kingston is recognized as one of Australia’s most articulate and individual voices, with a career that has encompassed recording, performing and writing songs and has enjoyed an international musical career spanning 10 years and over 15 countries worldwide. Over the course of his career has amassed a fan base, 3 albums and many awards by being one of the truly unique romantic artists from down under. From soulful ballads that gracefully continued the legacy of sweet soul music such as "Only You Only Me" and "Room 922" to chart-topping singles such as "Make It Up To You" Ron Kingston has proven himself as the consummate vocal professional.

Ron Kingston’s new 5 track EP called "All You Need To Know" is distinguished by understated, mellow dynamics and relaxed tempos and rhythms. The featured track “U-Turn” is soothingly pensive, with express romantic sentiment. Kingston’s new collection of songs are more closely and unmistakably rooted in R&B and soul music. At his best, Kingston’s style features an urban sophistication and subdued soulfulness.

Ron Kingston's live album unfolded when he performed in Hong Kong with just a a cellist and percussionist. The fusion of the 3 musicians inspired Ron to record his live show and release a live album. Entitled ‘Unplugged in Hong Kong’ Ron Kingston brings back the raw honest essentials that so many records lack in today’s music. While we’ve all heard live albums in the past, no unplugged album to date has the combination of one vocal, one guitar, a cello (which substitutes for bass and strings) and Cajon percussion. This delightful fusion on stage was the inspiration to capture the sound for a live recording release. The warm strength in Kingston's voice, the gentle conviction of his acoustic guitar playing with the distinctive sound of his two live musicians Kiko Llorin on cello and Jojo Abella on Cajon drum and percussion.

More that 80 songs were recorded live during the Hong Kong shows in which 12 indelible songs were carefully hand picked and then mastered by renowned sound engineer Robert Porter in Hong Kong. From start to finish the album takes you on a journey with a smooth palette of romance and soul. The album begins with Kingston’s sensual ballad “Room 922” and then pounds into the funky incognito tune “Still A Friend of Mine”. Other highlights on the album include “Make It Up To You” “Message to My Girl” and Kingston’s poignant rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Blame It On the Boogie”. Kingston was adamant about not just regurgitating a cover song. He needed to breathe new life into it if he was going to commit to releasing a cover song.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Ron Kingston's apparent passion for music was noticed during his high school years. With scraps of paper and a dusty old tape deck he wrote and recorded original songs that would lead him to an intriguing melancholy debut album titled 'Illustrated' not too long after he graduated. His formidable years kept him busy in and out of bands with an eye and target set firmly on the international arena. With a burning desire to make great albums and trot the globe Kingston moved to New York and played with some bands at some of Manhattan's finest venues.

After several years of truly finding and his own unique voice and style and personal dismay at the limited music industry opportunities in Australia he got his big break performing in over 15 countries including Japan, Korea, Indonesia, India, Hong Kong which led him to produce a second album with a more urban soulful feel. Kingston continues to write and perform at festivals, resorts & hotels in some amazing countries around the world. During his time, Kingston has been praised by and performed in front of music legends such as The Stylistics, Kool and the Gang, Air Supply, Joe, Marcus Miller, The Roots, Allan Rich (Bodyguard soundtrack), Candy Dulfer, Alice Cooper, Keith Martin and many more.

In 2008 Ron performed in the Gulf for US, British and Australian soldiers serving in neighbouring Iraq and Kuwait. Ron Kingston was the only Australian performer in Bahrain during that period.

In 2011, Kingston met with American R&B producer and recording artist Keith Martin and began working on a collection of new songs for release. Their first collaboration is a duet with Mia called "My Friend". The music video produced by Empire Films, uses classic Disney style cell animation and incorporates the latest in multilayer post-production technology.

In 2012, Ron Kingston toured in Indonesia and performed alongside Glenn Fredly, Tompi, Sandhy Sondoro and many other Indonesian artists as well as Java Jazz Festival which also featured Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and many other household names.
