Bio

RnB Sensation
Ronnie Bell

Ronnie “RnB” Bell grew up in the small town of Walker, LA (fifteen miles east of Baton Rouge, LA). Since the age of five years old he sang in his church choir at Gloryland Church of God in Christ in Walker. RnB quickly became popular due to his extraordinary vocal ability at such a young age. After the tragic death of his 6 year old sister, Ronnie was labeled as a problem child at the tender age of 8. Later, he was expelled from school in both seventh & eighth grade.
Despite obstacles in his elementary age, Ronnie began to make a positive turn around as R&B created positive attention for him. He became active in several gospel choirs in the area. By the tender age of 12, he matured and vowed to make a change in his life. At this time he became mentally tough! Finding an outlet in sports and poetry, where he learned to control his frustration and express his feelings in a better manner.

Although RnB became active in other extracurricular activities, Ronnie Bell continued to sing well into his teen years. At the age of fifteen he began to sing alongside his mother, uncles, and great uncle George Perkins as a member of “George Perkins and the Voices of Harmony”, a gospel-recording group based in Hammond, LA. A year later after growing restless of quartet singing, he joined Kenneth Mitchell and the Voices of Praise.

In addition to his passion for singing RnB excelled in football, basketball, and track at Walker High School where he graduated as a proud member of the class of 2000. Ronnie Bell earned a football scholarship to Delta State University in Cleveland, MS where he was a part of a Division II National Championship team. He played two years at Delta State before he realized he wanted to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a singer. He then transferred to Southern University and became a member of the world renowned Southern University Concert Choir directed by the great Charles Lloyd, Jr.

While under the instruction of Dr. Issac Greggs, RnB performed at the Bayou Classic Battle of the Bands in the New Orleans Superdome in 2004, 2006, and 2008 as a guest soloist with the Southern University Marching Band. At Southern University, RnB opened for Juvenile and 112 while performing at the annual homecoming 2006 in both the halftime show and the annual concert. In 2008, RnB opened for Erykah Badu and Bun B in the Spring Fest at Southern University.

With his growing exposure, RnB successfully performed in the “Top Dog Finals” on the Apollo Original Amateur Night in 2007. In 2009, Ronnie Bell earned his B.A. in Electronic Business and is currently pursuing his MBA at Southern University as well. RnB is currently in the process of completing his debut album “Str8 From Tha Heart” released under Money Makers Entertainment, whom is also responsible for talents Sam I Am; mostly known for the hit single “Jiggalators” as well as, Mookie Black, whose hit singles include “Brown & White” and “Rockie Balboa”.

“I am motivated & determined to bring greatness to my name, my family & my city. R&B is not just something I do, but it’s me. I live it, breathe it and make it my all with every ballad I write and tune I let flow from my lungs. It is indeed fair to say that this is the love of my life. With the help of the Almighty, Money Makers Entertainment, family, and fans, I will ultimately become a household name.”
