Bio
I grew up in the turbulent 1960s in the suburbs of Southwest Houston. I decided that I wanted to paly the guitar when I saw the Beatles perform on the Ed sullivan show. I was weened on rock and roll. I came to Austin in the late 1970s to ride the Cosmic Cowboy train. I learned the songs of Jerry Jeff and Willie to mention a few.I have written many good songs all along the way, but I have never published them. I am influenced by everyone from Bob Wills to Bob Dylan, George Harrison to George Strait, Chet Atkins to Chet Baker, Paul McCartney to Paul Simon I have been a finalist several times at the Kerville Folk Festivel as well as the Austin Songwriters Competition. I am a member of the Austin Songwriters group and am looking to further my career as a serious songwriter. I am also a damn good guitar picker and performer.
