Ronnie Sportcoat Overton is a consummate musician, songwriter, bandleader, bass player and keyboardist who has played with soul legend and Four Top Ronnie McNeir, Kim Weston, Geno Washington and the Dell-Vikings. In addition to his soul credentials, Sportcoats debut CD When The Smoke Clears instantly establishes his reputation as a contemporary jazz bassist with an irresistible in-the-pocket groove that is equal parts jazz, soul, and Curtis Mayfield style funk.
As the bandleader of the jazz-funk band Attitude, Sportcoat brings his musical flair to life onstage with the help of first rate jazz musicians. He most recently opened for smooth jazz saxophonist Dave McMurray in May, and his album is generating in places as far-flung as the United Kingdom!
