This group is comprised of players from diverse backgrounds and taste. Tex Wonderful toured extensively with an alt-rock performance art band called Jerry Jerry and the Sons of Rhythm, playing venues across Eastern Canada and the northeastern US. Larry Shelast drummed with Junior Gone Wild, an alt-country punk band from the eighties. the band toured Western Canada and made many dates in Europe as well. Ron Rault is the leader and the frontman, handling all of the vocals. Ron's resume looks like a who's who in the roots and blues music scene. He has toured with such artists as: John Lee Hooker, John Hammond, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, the Pointer Sisters, Honeyboy Edwards, Willie Dixon and many more. Ron has logged forty+ years in the business and has made friends and fans all across the world. When he is not gigging, Ron spends his time answering fan e-mails and writing, recording and producing music. Ron has recorded with such legends as JJ Cale, John Hammond, Johnny Shines, Amos Garrett, Ian Tyson and more. He has published his tunes in Nashville, Tennessee with Audiogram Music owned by one of the only and most colorful independent publishers in the country - Audie Ashworth. Ashworth, long-deceased now, was responsible for handling JJ Cale, who's affiliation with Eric Clapton managed to accrue a sizable fortune. Audie handled many others including Don Schlitz, the man who wrote "The Gambler"for Kenny Rogers. Hanging with these people gave Ron the ideas he now is exploring. His music reflects the many influences he has gathered from such a diverse group of artists and players. The germ of the idea for this particular group was the music that was born from the turmoil and disorientation of the rural southern populations as they moved north to find work. Poverty, lonliness and long, hard work days were the anvils upon which the rural-urban musicians tempered and forged their music. The music was intense. Sometimes it was a simple heartfelt moan in one chord or an elegant piece that rivalled the big Hollywood arrangers in style and substance. Obviously the giants of the pre and post-war era influenced Ron deeply. Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Little Walter, Bo Diddley, Duke Ellington, Count
Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra all helped shape his style and his musical sensibilities. The pre and post-war music eras were chock full of great players, great writers, great individuals and those musicians and writers were Ron's heroes and role models, musically and philosophically.
