"Circuit-bent Little Tikes Keyboard – Rooftop Ridicule"

Joe Wozniak demonstrates his circuit-bent toy keyboard used for real keyboard roles in the band Rooftop Ridicule. Basically, knobs and switches were added to make the keyboard able to do much more than it was ever intended to do. Unlike many circuit bent projects this one is intended to be played as a true musical instrument. - Little Tikes Activity Garden

"The Originators – Rooftop Ridicule – Agent 86 – Infernal Raket – at The Bunkhouse – Las Vegas, NV"

When you first walk into The Bunkhouse, you might expect a nice Country bar, with oversized chairs, a nice bar, and Deer Heads on the wall with pictures of the Boys from "Bonanza", but when the first band came on it was a far cry from a country bar.

The first band was a local Las Vegas band called "Infernal Raket". Coming on stage with aprons on and only wearing underwear beneath them, They blasted through their 30 minute Punk rock set with speed, and screeching vocals, unlike their name-sake they were actually pretty good to watch. Nothing like a good Punk Rock Band to warm up the audience for what was to proceed them. I believe the motto of this band is "SEX AND DRUGS AND PUNK ROCK" which was evident by the names of their songs and the banter in between their songs.

In Between sets there were 2 D.J.’s. D.J. STAR, AND D.J. CHAOS. They were spinning some very cool tunes from Black Sabbath to Hendrix, and one of my favorite bands The Runaways. Nothing like great music in between bands. For me it keeps me in the Rockin frame of mind. They did a great job.

Next up another local favorite "ROOFTOP RIDICULE" These guys know how to play music! What amazed me the most about these guys was they all played every instrument. From drummer going to guitar, to bass etc. These Boys play everything. They just rotated instruments. Just when you think "Punk Rock and Roll" has hit it’s height with jamming guitars, to thumping bass, to smashing drums and bad ass vocals, they break out a Mandolin. Such a great sounding instrument something you wouldn’t expect to hear from a punk band. But they made it work!!! Incredible sound. This band is very inventive. They really know how to bust out a kick Ass set. I Highly recommend them.

3rd up on the bill was one of my favorite bands as of late. "THE ORIGINATORS" What can I say about this band? They are full of energy, jumping all over the place while belting out tunes like "Martini" "Crazy Pill" "Problem" and "Corporate" While I did miss the Keyboards they still Rocked The Bunk House. With audience members singing along with the band on stage. If you are in the Los Angeles area between Sept. 4th and the 6th I suggest you go see them. You won’t be disappointed. I have seen them a couple of times now, always expect the unexpected. Incredible musicians in this band.

Last up which seemed right for this night was another local band called "AGENT 86" An interesting note about this band is the bass player from Infernal Raket plays bass for these guys as well. Night and day from band to the other. These guys are a 3 piece band that just played some really good rock and roll. Vladi The drummer from The Originators played drums with these guys as well as playing with Roof Top Ridicule. This guy can really play!! If your in the mood for some good Rock and Roll go see Agent 86.

Bio

A brief explanation:
Rooftop Ridicule is a rad joke going around that you are in on. The idea behind it as a band is to do something actually weird and new and different but cozy and likable and classically rocking in a solid legit way. It's an impossible balance, but we sincerely try, and that heart is part of what has made our live performances legendary. We make our instruments look fun to play. We entertain at all costs. We don't care if we missed a couple notes of a song because one of us fell off of something we weren't supposed to be playing bass on. We play through injuries because the manner of our playing causes injuries. We will play the heaviest song you've ever heard without distortion. We go there.

Member Background:
Rooftop Ridicule is an elite team of survivors from serious gigging performance groups from across the country. Each of them united after coming to Las Vegas seeking opportunities to do original music in a big city, hoping to find others with equal dedication and vision. Each of them arrived steeped with the knowledge of the grandfathers of rock from Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Yes, Pink Floyd, and The Who, to more modern classics such as Pearl Jam, At the Drive-in, Radiohead, Tool, Don Caballero, Primus, Pinback, Lamb of God, and REM.
