"New Seattle Convergence"

As the modern music scene in Seattle is highly saturated, genre diverse & less era-defining & quantifiable, there’s nothing like getting back to the collaborative instrumental fluidity, lyrical depth & outright brash in-your-face rock n’ roll style that once had the world clamoring for the cresting wave of Seattle’s best musical output decades ago. Something new yet excitingly familiar has emerged from underground..

ROOKIE WARHEAD, with a richly soundscape-varied seven (7) song album - ‘Bruces’ Thirsty’ - are methodically setting local stages and sound systems ablaze and leaving music savvy, curious on-lookers abuzz with its fresh & honest raw energy, beautifully melodic, deftly crafted compositions & thrill-ride, drift & drive experience that resonates well after a ‘Rookie’ live performance is experienced. The band’s ensemble of Devan Register (Lead singer); Ric Vaughan (Lead guitar); Kee Curlee (Keys); Robert Stewart (Bass) and Eric Fenner (Drums) blends superbly and all collaboratively give the audience a gift worth remembering. Singer Devan Register’s haunting, imploring delivery and presence sticks with the listener. Every song on the album is worthy of praise: ‘Magnifier’ & ‘Lucile’ will send audio levels into overload, while the honest & textured ballad ‘New July’ captures listeners’ imaginations; songs like ‘Man of His Word’ & ‘White Girl Blind’ are rock crescendo-esque gems; ‘Politics’ is a lengthy, emotionally engaging epic blitz, while ‘Agony Ends It’ has an anthem quality that smashes the impact of the album home, imprinted in archival quality. -

Bio

Only once every few millennia, the universe aligns and allows the convergence of rock and roll. From the deepest caverns, made entirely of rock, Veteran rock ambassadors  Ric Vaughan (guitars) and Eric Fenner (drums) bring the face melt with the help of Kee Curlee (keys), Robert Stewart (bass) and Devan Register (skin flute).

Rookie warhead’s debut album Bruces’ Thirsty leaves you shoegazing, stoned, and halfway to the Andromeda galaxy with no hope to return home. Loud enough to play in your Toyota Corolla in rush hour Traffic, soft enough to realize you aren't half as sappy as you thought you were. Working internationally with violin virtuoso Guillermo Martin Perez, the ballad of the album brings the Seattle drama to your yearning eardrums. Sit back, smoke an overpriced designer weed joint, and take a musical journey to the Center of the known universe.
