We got together in the last few years of school in 2007. our first gig was a gig at school that we organised ourselves. Back then our main influences were all the classic rock bands like Bon Jovi and AC/DC etc but now as the past 3 years have gone by we've opened our eyes to more modern rock and metal which now play a part in the songs we write today. Bands like Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry are big influences to us. To date we now have 11 songs recorded with 4 more on the way and as we aren't the richest of guys, we have recorded all of our songs in Jake's dad's cheep home recording studio in the attic; it makes the recordings not of best quality and production but they cost us nothing and at this moment in time thats the only option for us, buit now as the summer is comign we have saved up to go to a proffessional recording studio to record our newest songs.
We have played some great gigs over the years including an amazing gig at The Sage in Gateshead and one at Ruby Lounge in Manchester which was televised on Propellar TV on Sky as part of the "Global Icon" competition. We have 2 upcoming dates at the O2 academy in Newcastle.
We are unique to other bands as Shaun plays a kaytar (yes very 80's i know) which is great as hardly any bands play this instrument...we havent seen any bands in the north playing with one. Also our interaction with eachother on stage...we love to jam and improvise with eachother while we play.
We've entered into a new era of Room 51, writing rockier and more upbeat songs as apposed to our slower epic songs we wrote a few years back. Its an exciting prospect and we cant wait to carry on gigging and recording.
