"Power"

"This is a band that has their own staying power."

Dwight Hobbes - Pulse of the Twin Cities

"Room For Gray rocks the Garage"

“Room For Gray combines unique song structure with an exceptionally polished stage presence to craft an attractive and filling sound.” - The Voice Newspaper: Burnsville, MN

"Room For Gray"

“Room for Gray proves there is room for "Pop Rock" in this world. Pop haters beware. These guys redefine pop and shove it right in your face. This Tool meets the Goo Goo Dolls, is full of melodic and almost heavy metal sounding riffs and chords that will confuse the hell out of you, yet make you feel all warm and cozy inside.” - Midwest Music Factory

Bio

Room For Gray establishes the idea that there can be room for an “in-between” sound by fusing hooks found in pop music with punchy guitar riffs found in a rock setting. Drawing on influences from the likes of Bon Jovi, Matchbox 20, and the Goo Goo Dolls, Room For Gray is making a dent in the Midwest with their emotional live performances and drive to persevere in the music business.

January of 2007 brought the release of the band’s follow-up EP entitled “Moving On” to their 2004 self-titled debut album. When asked to describe the meaning behind the title, singer James Gray said, “It seemed like the best fit because it applies to so many aspects of our lives at this point in time. Moving on to take the band to the next level, moving on from old to new relationships with both loved ones and friends alike, and most importantly, moving on with a stronger songwriting focus.” Room For Gray was graced with the opportunity to work with producers Jeff Harrington, a former staff writer for Warner Brothers and Atlantic Records, and Andre Fischer, a former Senior Vice President of MCA records, on this project.

Consistently working the club circuit, the band has performed at several venues in the Midwest including the historical Bunkers, Red Carpet, Elbo Room, and Fine Line w/ regional acts such as Tim Mahoney, Pat McCurdy, and the Nadas. Room For Gray has also been a part of many outdoor festivals including an opening slot for Starship (formerly Jefferson Starship) in Rochester, MN and a spot at the Macy’s Day of Music Festival in Minneapolis, MN. The group has been featured on NBC’s Kare 11 Morning News in the Twin Cities as well as CBS’ WCCO channel 4 News. Room For Gray has also recently signed a licensing agreement allowing the nation to hear its music on MTV’s Real World and Road Rules. Expect an aggressive live schedule and a full-length album release sometime in 2008.
