Lyrics

Sleep on It

Written By: Gary "Rooster" Romriell

V1)
Drip, Drop, alarm clock rings
Hung-over cups of coffee
I try to think of better things
But they always did evade me
Every time I open up my eyes
I see you, you disgust me
And every time I hear your lies
Oh, I wanna choke you Georgie

c)
And when I read the daily news
the headline read “condescension”
Abortion, oil and taboos
gay marriage and religion
And when they tell me what to do
go back to bed I’d rather be
sleeping

(breakdown) Hey! Hey!

V2)
A couple pillows in my bed oh,
a couple rumpled bodies
and the caffeine that's in my head
is pools of bloody coffee
Well there’s an unlit cigarette
oh, the fire’s for the mommies
I haven’t had my breakfast yet
No, I’m practicing at starving

c)
And when I read the daily news
the headline read “condescension”
Abortion, oil and taboos
gay marriage and religion
And when they tell me what to do
go back to bed I’d rather be
sleeping

Bridge)
Ladies and gentlemen
Boys and girls
Welcome to the three ring circus for your thrills
Can’t you see this lion tamer bleeding from his neck
But my friends your only sleeping this world’s not coming back

c)
And when I read the daily news
the headline read “condescension”
Abortion, oil and taboos
gay marriage and religion
And when they tell me what to do
go back to bed I’d rather be
sleeping

Every Novelty

Written By: Rooster "Gary" Romriell

V)
I see the world is passing by
a new religion on the rise.
To see the world you close your eyes
and tell yourself another lie.

C1)
You wanna live a life of ease
and worship every novelty.
Forget the people and the earth
it's more trouble than it's worth.

V)
No internet and no TV,
no telephone to disturb me.
The time has come to work the land
and spend our time with fellow man.

C2)
you wanna live a life of ease
and worship every novelty.
Don't have the time to feed the soul
how far are we gunna fall.

Break)
Never understood why we think wrong feels right
take advantage of everything in sight.
Have you ever felt the grass between your toes?
Take a second and watch it while it grows.
You see everything in shades of black and white,
everybody watch as grey fades out of sight.
Nobody wants to have faith in anything
the talking heads tell me what I should believe.

(C2 repeat)
