Rooted Truth

When Rooted Truth formed in the spring of 2004, they were four kids with a sound beyond their years. Almost two years and over 125 shows later, Rooted Truth has become one of the most exhilarating bands on the scene.
Having spent most of their time refining their gritty blues funk sound, Rooted Truth has come into a brand of Rock that is completely original, yet familiar.
It is pure, loud, unadulterated, swaggering, adrenaline pumping, explosive, Rock and Roll.
With live shows spewing blues based, hook heavy rock and roll, Rooted Truth has drawn comparisons to the vintage rock sound of the Stones, AC/DC, Allman Brothers, and Sly Stone, and to modern rock acts such as Audioslave, Gov’t Mule, Clutch, and Rage Against the Machine.
Front man Jason Copsey’s thick, raw vocals and emotionally charged guitar work gives Rooted Truth the soulful sound that has become their signature. Sharing the songwriting duties with Copsey is rhythm guitarist Jesse Ras. His unique riff based rhythm style gives Rooted Truth their larger than life sound. On bass is Connor Brown, who at 18 is the youngest of the group. His hard driving grooves and rapid fire funk provide the energy that grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. Drummer Jim Brown brings the power behind Rooted Truth. His hard hitting passionate style creates an air of controlled chaos on stage.
2006 promises to be an exciting year for Rooted Truth, as they continue building their fan base through continually playing more and more shows and new venues throughout the Midwest. On the horizon for Rooted Truth is the completion of their first full length album, tentatively titled ‘Find Out,’ due late spring/early summer, 2006. In October, Rooted Truth will head out on their first tour, hitting 27 southern cities in 31 days.
Through their strong work ethic and passion, Rooted Truth will be making powerful, Inspired and refreshing music and will continue to take it to the next level for a long, long time.
