Roots & Wings

Roots & Wings is a duo that was formed by singer/songwriters Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan in May of 2008 after a chance meeting at the famed Key West songwriter festival. Ross had just finished up a run with Sony UK as a pop/rock artist and had moved back to the United States to be closer to his roots. Heather Morgan was a writer in Nashville and an artist in her own right that was garnering attention for her singing and songwriting. Ross and Heather began to write together and organically found they had a distinct sound and writing style. They began to book shows and play out as much as they could while continuing to write throughout 2008. In 2009 they recorded their 1st EP and were chosen for the Music City Unsigned Tour which took them through the Southeast and Midwest. They provide solid, organic, original music with heart, depth and a beautifully unique sound. They bring back the chemistry of great country duo's of the past with a modern sound. Roots & Wings is working on their first full length release for the fall of 2009 and continues to tour the country as well.
