"Rorey Carroll- Seattle Rocker"

“This is a great debut album. Rorey has created a soulful and easy listening collection of stories and musical tales that remind me of Lucinda Williams, Abigail Washburn and Gillian Welch in their early days. The only thing I wish there was more of is second album! You rock, Rorey!” - -The Seattle Rocker

"Rorey Carroll Featured in Midwest Songwriters Showcase"

I went to a concert on Friday night at my favorite guitar store in Frankfort Illinois. They are doing a concert series for song writers.
That night I met a young woman named Rorey Carroll. She is a new talent that Martin needs to find out about. Her music is the easy to listen and her voice is superb. She has a wonderfully easy way about her too. She is playing her fathers OM38 that she got from her dad after a fire claimed her old Taylor.
Her just released CD is called " Rorey Carroll, Roadside Lullabies". Produced by Omni Artists Productions, features the likes of Cody Kilby, Stuart Duncan, Mark Fain, and Aaron Ramsey. This is a must have for those time of wanting to hear some quiet, relaxing sounds. I'm totally hooked; the only cd I have listened to in 2 weeks. LOL

Give her a listen and see what you think, I'd love to hear your opinions.

I'm going to try to get Martin to take a look too. So if there are any Martin people watching this Rorey would be a really good addition to the MArtin Fest this year.
Peace

Bio

Her fiercely independent spirit is reflected in her songwriting as well as lifelong americana folk and alternative country/bluegrass influences. From her life experiences on foot, through the window of a car, the bed of a freight train, as well as recent Berklee College of Music studies, Rorey Carroll has learned to use her guitar as a vehicle to tell a story.

Carroll burst onto the scene with rave reviews in 2010 with the release of her first CD, "Roadside Lullabies". Since then she's performed on stage with folks like Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain String Band), Elephant Revival, Donna the Buffalo, Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon) and many other musical luminaries.

“There should be no filter on experience, so why should there be in songwriting. People listen to music because it makes them feel an emotion, and a songwriters goal is to relate one's own experiences with the audience.” -Rorey
