Bio

I became infected with music bug as early as four years old when my mother played a video of The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. It was from that point on I didn’t want to do anything else. At the age of thirteen I acquired my first guitar and self taught myself the basic chords and progressions. By the time I was into High School I was playing and performing on a regular basis.

The first and only group I ever joined was called “The Many Others.” We had as much success as any High school band would do and even won the talent show. But after a while I was already having the need to go out on my own. I left in 1998 and began my career as a solo performer and writer and I’ve never looked back since. Since then I have written and performed while under the influences of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Tommy Makem and Arlo Guthrie. Originally started in Rock and Roll, I was soon getting more and more involved the folk music scene and found more pleasure as playing the solo troubadour.

I got my start playing various open mike nights around the Syracuse area. It was a great way for me to start and to help get my name out to the public and it wasn’t long until I started to network and find some work. I played in many great venues throughout the years including The Townshop, Coleman’s, The Old City Hall, The Half Penny, The Creekside, Roaster’s Café, The Everson, Onondaga College, The Camillus Winter Festival, Happy Endings, The Strawberry Festival, Vine’s (Once owned by James Gandolfini of the Sopranos.), General Clinton’s, Ithaca College,The All Asia, The Maritime Park, Squawk, and the Stoop.

All venues range from Upstate New York to Massachusetts including cities such as Boston, Cambridge, Buffalo, Syracuse, Oneonta, Oswego and Ithaca.

In 2001 I enrolled as a full time music student while under the instruction of classical guitarist Timothy Schmidt. It was there that I furthered my training as a musician and helped bring my craft up to another level studying and learning the classical technique. In 2005 I graduated with a Bachelor’s in the Arts. 2005 was also the same year I recorded my first two albums Obsolete and Folk This. And in March of 2006 I recorded my third and latest installment Whiskey Hill Road. I am currently recording for my next album due to be out for Early 2007.
