Rosanna Riverso

With a stunning resume to match a sparkling personality, a stellar voice and spectacular looks, Rosanna Riverso is a force to be reckoned with and that's been the story from a very young age.
Rosanna began her musical studies at the young age of six, taking classical piano and operatic singing at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She quickly became well known to devoted listeners in her hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for her early appearances with the Hamilton Children’s Choir and later, for her concerts with coaches Elise Bedard and New York’s Tina Torlone and Michael Warren (Provoce Studios, NY, NY, USA). Rosanna also spent many years training under some of North America’s top vocal instructors for the more contemporary styles of singing, including jazz, pop, and R&B. It was during this time that Rosanna discovered her gift for writing and composing original songs. Her original song “Listen Up” earned her a sixth place standing in the Canadian Mix 99.9 Songwriting Competition while her powerful Italian ballad “Di Che Temi” placed her as 1st Runner Up in the CHIN Songwriting Festival. More recently, Rosanna teamed up with renowned composer-arranger Shelly Berger (Anita O’Day, Diana Krall, Matt Dusk, Chaka Khan) to write her original jazz standards “You Got Me Wrapped Around Your Little Finger” and “No More”. Some of her other notable achievements include her performance at the San Donato Song Festival in Italy, the national radio release of her original single “Listen Up”, and her opening act for legendary crooner, Al Martino. Modeling also came easily to the brown-eyed beauty, and alongside her music career, she chose a path that led to her being 2nd runner up in the Miss Italy Canada contest in 2002.

In an attempt to hone her skills as a writer and performer, Rosanna has also studied theatre. Of her recent leading role as the witch in Stephen Sondheim’s musical Into the Woods, Rosanna received impressive reviews. The Hamilton Spectator singled out her performance as being superior while View Magazine called her a “scene-stealer…with a voice that delivers”. After a spectacular show at Festa Italiana last July, Milwaukee Wisconsin’s Italian Times newspaper said “Rosanna has a smile like Sophia Loren and a story-telling ability like Frank Sinatra”.

Whether she is performing a beautiful aria from a famous opera or scatting to a swinging jazz tune, Rosanna continues to draw crowds in with her majestic voice, gifted phrasing, and incredible range. The successes she has already made in a short time speak volumes about what lies ahead for this brown-eyed beauty. It won’t be long before Rosanna Riverso achieves her goals in the music industry and becomes a household name.
